STORYTIME: SOMEONE STOLE MY PALETTE

Hello Everyone!

I'm here with a storytime of the time my palette got stolen!!
I ordered the limited edition, Laura Lee X Violet Voss collaboration palette off BeautyBay, must've been at least a week ago and I was SO excited because I really wanted to own a Violet Voss palette but of course the Holy Grail palette is always sold out. So until that one came on sale I treated myself to to the Laura Lee palette. I've been watching Laura Lee on YouTube alot recently and really enjoy her makeup looks that she does and she's a really good YouTuber. Whiles waiting for my delivery to come I'd been watching reviews and also makeup tutorials with the palette and was so excited for it to come.
.

When I finished work I came into my house to see the box on my house stairs and was literally bouncing off the walls, ran into my kitchen to see that the box had already been opened.. *see photo below* Bearing in mind I live with all boys I did question it to see if they were messing about with me because when I opened the box THERE WAS NO PALETTE!!!!! I honestly didn't know if I should've cried or flipped my sh*t but I just stood there in utter shock.

.

I honestly have had no issues with anything I've ordered off the internet, especially with BeautyBay, so immediately I rang my mum and just cried in pure frustration as to why anyone would have the nerve to help themselves to my post, something I paid for with the money I worked hard to get. So after I had my meltdown about the situation I got on the phone to the police and had to file a police report on what'd happened. The man I had on the phone wasn't the most helpful and I felt stupid reporting a crime over a makeup palette but once I posted on social media of what happened, so many people had similar experiences. It was really late when I came home so the customer services for BeautyBay wasn't open so I had to wait the following day to report what happened and also who stole my palette.
.

The next day I report it to BeautyBay and they were SO helpful and really considerate over what happened *massive shoutout to BeautyBay customer service* I had to send photos of how my parcel came and they were more than happy to send me a new one the following day.

.

As it stands the police haven't got back to me yet about any progress to do with the investigation which is super annoying because I want whoever took my palette to face up to what they've done but also make sure other people don't get effective by what I had to deal with. What with christmas coming up and more people ordering off the internet in to comparison to going into a shop and buying products, I don't want the same person to be affecting people's christmas' because they think its right to steal from hard working people and getting away with it. I know the palette was only £36 but imagine if I ordered a £200 palette or something more expensive..

.

I honestly don't understand how anyone can sleep at night knowing they have stolen from someone, I honestly question peoples conscience's. It still baffles me but anyone. It's water under the bridge and I hope the police find whoevers taken it because it's honestly put me off ordering online which is annoying because all my makeup I get online because of how restricted makeup shops are where I live, but until I have trust in the delivery services I'm just going to have to commute to Leeds or Manchester so I know I'm going to get what I want!

.

So that's my experience of when some scally took my palette! When I hear updates I will post it on my Twitter which you can find in my info bar on the right. I'll be uploading some new posts more frequently in the next week so keep an eye out!
You can also send me inspration, feedback or questions in my Ask.fm box here!

Much Love
